Hi Captain Keith
I just landed in Tokyo last Sunday and we circled for about 45 mins before we landed. The pilot explained that it was because of an "airport curfew".
My flight landed at 6am. I thought the "curfew" was imposed because an earthquake happened a day earlier. Then I googled and found out that a curfew is sometimes imposed between 11pm and 6am to minimise the amount of noise that a plane generates.
Just wanted to check if this is true?
Many thanks, Lyn
