Just found out I am on a CRJ 700 from SFO to Dallas. How much worse is the turbulence on these planes and how do they handle the thunderstorms between here and there? Also do the have the same weather radar and equipment the larger planes have?  I can't stop thinking about the little plane being tossed around...

I'm sure Keith will be able to explain....but he always says that turbulence is uncomfortable, but not dangerous and I beleive him. Try and remember this and planes can handle it no problem. Also tighten your seat belt as tight as possible. You then move with the plane and not kinda lifting off your seat with any bumps. Keith said that planes only fly something like at 20% (what was it Keith?) of their capability. Also did you know that planes have to keep a min of 20 miles away from any thunderstorm? I found that reassuring when I found out.
They're not worse by any means ...they've got radar like every other aircraft is required to have when it carries fare paying passengers.

The CRJ i s abrilliant plane...there's absolutely no reason to worry about its capabilities.
