Keith, I have come a long, long way since joining this site and all your help.

I am 50 next year and i am considering a light aircraft flight,

Are regulations the same with regard to safety?

for my 30th i was given a half hour lesson in a teeny cessna. terrified was an understatement but it was amazing. my pilot was an ex commercial jet pilot who had done 25yrs and he was so confident at the planes gliding (should anything happen) capabilities it made it feel very safe. lots of fun. i always enjoy meeting light aircraft pilots beforehand to let them know why i look so tense

They are different.
