Hi, I have sensitive ears, but these are some things to try to alleviate the discomfort caused by he change of air pressure, particularly on descent.
1) Close your mouth, pinch your nose tightly and try to breathe out-(exhale) this may cause your ears to pop. However, don't do it too hard or you may damage things.
2) suck sweets and keep swallowing the saliva
In U.K you can buy little plastic ear gadgets called "Ear Planes" from Boots the chemists or other chemist shops which you insert carefully in to your ears. I have used these and think they do work.
Consult your medic because ears are very delicate bits of your body and hearing is precious.
