Hi Robyn

Hope you had a great flight to Athens (in fact you might still be in transit as I type). I am travelling to England alone with my two kids in 3 weeks. Am dreading it, but its somehow comforting for me to know I am not some sort of crackpot for being scared of flying. Infact it seems quite 'normal'. I used to have a few G&T's before travelling but now I cant since having children, so its just deep breaths and positive thinking.

I'm at Sydney Airport - had a good night's sleep and only woke up a couple of times, which is quite normal. Big difference, when I did - I didn't wake with the 'horrors'.... I actually woke with your voice replaying in my mind... thank you, thank you! I am having a couple of champagnes however... I think you'll forgive me... I'll write again from Athens. Thanks again for your generosity of spirit and kindness.

Hi Robyn
Hey you're just like everyone else...leaving it to the last minute...but never mind I want you to go away on this trip knowing that it'll be the last time you feel this bad about flying. When you get back we're going to set about building your confidence and getting a strategy that you can use each time you fly in future. It does seem such a waste of energy doesn't it, feeling like this when there are some things you could do to make it much easier for yourself.

So take a deep breath tomorrow and go for it...nothing's going to happen so don't waste your time thinking you're keeping the devils away by worrying. The things you're doing are like everyone else so don't beat yourself up about it. Resolve to do something when you get back. Promise me?
