Hi Turi,
Son flown the nest, joined the Navy, in the Fleet Air Arm training to be, wait for it ... an aircraft engineer (Merlin Mk1) and has ambitions to be a pilot!!!! Glad my fear never rubbed off on him - quite the opposite eh as he loves aviation. So, being home alone I decided to go back to passenger services.
Really loving it, on the Lufty team now but still love doing the odd shift on Thomsons. Mainly based airside doing gates for Ryanair, TCX, Swiss, SAS, Aurigny as well as Lufty.
Love helping my passengers, love the buzz of airport life and being around planes so much helps keep my fears 'grounded' but still the odd gremlin gets in and rattles me but I'm still planning to travel and see the world. We've even paid our deposit to go to Oz in 2013 for the British Lions rugby tour!
Would be great to see you again. Thinking I might go to a seminar before I set off on my next adventure. Just got to wait and see whats happening in work. Losing a few airlines and there's going to be lay-offs for the winter. I'm safe until end of this month but things looking a bit grim for a lot of us. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get to stay otherwise its the usual off for the winter schedules and back in for the summer next Feb/Mar.
Would be great to meet up again. Shame you don't work on the 74's out out LHR you might have had me on your flight LOL ;-)

I'm off on another big adventure soon too (all flights with BA) Hubby is 50 just before Christmas so wants to cruise Panama Canal. So outbound is MAN-LRH then LHR-LAX and homeward flights are MIA-LHR then LHR-MAN
Had a few 'moments' but doing really well so far.
Where you working now and what routes?
Would love to hear from you
luv
