Captain Keith, I had to fly again!! I hated the take off but survived on drugs again and all went well. The landing at home was on a terribly windy day with the plane wings moving all over the place and the plane coming down sort of sideways. I know from mum flying all the time that if too windy she gets diverted to Sydney so I assume they know what they are doing. I was glad to be on the ground and on that flight a lot of people were happy to have landed. The positive thing is that I…Continue

Back from Rome - and another four flights.
Glad I did not have my experience flying from Belfast to Leeds Bradford with Flybe some time back or I have no doubt it would have set me back in my efforts to overcome my fear of flying. Unruly raucous loud mouthed passengers two of whom were seated behind me. I had literally to tell them to shut up during the safety demonstration - which I think the crew should have done. Loud laughter bellowing in my ear and knees pushing into my back,…Continue
Flying from Belfast City to Leeds Bradford Friday 19th and the flying from Leeds to Rome on Sun 21
Rome to Leeds Thurs 25th, Leeds to Belfast Sat 27th
The last time I flew to Rome is more years ago than I care to remember. But I do remember the fear and the tears at Rome airport. It was nothing to the terror I experienced a few days later at Heathrow. The Air Hostess said she never witnessed anyone so afraid! My sister said to remind her never to travel with me…Continue

Hello everyone, I am new to this website. I have had a severe fear of flying for the past 20 yrs. I have had to fly several times, but each time is met with severe anxiety and panic. I am going to Europe this saturday, and will be on a 10 hr flight, and will have to fly 4 more times during our vacation. I have taken on online fear of flying course, which helped when i went to Boston a couple years ago, so I repeated that. But i began feeling panic set in when thinking about flying again. So…Continue
I'm really going crazy now... Next week I will have super long transatlantic flight and now we have MH17, GE222 and today's AH5017. I can't have any logic explanations in my head why all this happened. I'm trying to keep myself positive about it, but still... Something/somebody had caused these crashes to happen ! Well I hope it will get better in my head with time.
Dear Keith, could you please just comment something on those cases. Maybe it will help lots of us to feel…Continue
It is a big tragedy.
All this does not help a fearfull flyer ! My mind knows the chance of this happening is sooo very small, but the pictures of a crushed airplane make my fear grow
I'm just here to get an extra dose of confidence before my flight from KWI-London, then London-Vancouver on Friday the 20th. I am nervous about flying over water, and especially with turbulence over the water! I'm flying in a 744.
I am trying to focus on the safety logistics and the amazing time I will have once I land, but it's tricky with the typical sensations I always feel: apprehension, dread, and worry!
A few notes of…Continue
I´m flying tomorrow to Miami from Buenos Aires (9hours) and no matter that i´m going for vacations with my family, the flight put me under big pressure. Today i have a continous headache and l feel like l am running at half of my horsepower. Fear for the turbulence; fear of feeling motion sickness; fear for not being able to help`one of my kids that really suffers a lot while flying...Some friends suggest me a tranquilizer but l try not to, because l m with my family and i think l must be…Continue

Always like to clock in another flight even if it is a short one. Flew Belfast Intl to Gatwick a few weeks ago. The weekend was a gift to the Chelsea Flower Show after my mishaps in Iceland. I didn't get my usual window seat on the plane. Not very long ago that would have caused me anxiety not being able to see out. I still like to see out and follow the route. The landing at Gatwick was a bit wobbly and for once I wasn't the person who was nervous.
When we landed at Belfast Intl…Continue

It was long time since last time I've posted here. Just wanted to share with you how I'm doing with my fears. As you can see in the title things are going well. Now it happens that I need to fly quite often and my relations with planes had changed completely. I can tell you that I do not feel any fear and do not experience any sleepless nights just before flight, my trip to airport is always nice and fun. I'm always trying to get as early as possible to airport - just to watch…Continue
Just posting about my upcoming trip to Venice on Tuesday, a trip we won in a competition. Yep, I've got no-one to blame but myself now the time has come to take the flights.
I've only flown a few times in my life and most recently to Barcelona with my young children and partner. Nothing bad has happened to me other than in my own head but now I feel I'm pushing my luck a bit by travelling in consecutive months. I will remind myself that it's many people's jobs to be in…Continue
