Hello all,
I think this is a good news for all of us. New Airbus A350 had it's maiden flight. This is next big step into modern aviation. I look at the plane and it's so beautiful. Hope some day to take a flight with it. Somehow I feel I'd have less fear on board of this nice bird :)

Flew Belfast to Leeds again last Friday and brought the good weather with me! Two beautiful flights in clear sunny skies could see out all the way and it is great to be coming to recognise the landscape! It is very true the more I fly the easier it becomes. Am looking forward to a holiday on Italian coast Sept flying Belfast to Nice. This will be my longest flight since tackling my fears. There is no doubt also Captain Keith's explanations of the flight management and various noises…

I think I managed to fly without many issues for a change! Haven't posted for a while and I've done a good couple of trips since the last one. The smaller ones were always Cork to manchester(UK), since I'd be visiting family. Those turbo prop planes are hilariously terrifying on takeoff, especially when there's an irish pilot (I jest). Either way, I think Aer Lingus are perpetually in a rush to get out of Cork airport, the last one I think left scorching tiremarks down the runway. Most…

Hey to Everyone again. I just want to share my experience with you. One week ago i traveled alone to Nederland through Rome. Thats means 2 flights, 2 take offs 2 landings. A couple of days before my flight i was very nervous. So nervous that i didn't want to go. The flight was really early (about 6.30 a.m.) so i didn't get much sleep. Those days i read again everything from the book, and saw on the web on official Schiphol website how many arrivals and departures took place during the day.…

It's been almost 9 months since I last posted a blog. I've flown 6 times since then.
A few weeks ago was our May holiday and I went with some friends to Georgia. I was really excited about the holiday and did everything I could to not think about the two-hour flight there and back. Then a couple of days before leaving I cracked and went on an internet frenzy, checking weather forecasts, looking at details of Tbilisi airport (looking for nearby mountains), and trying to guess what kind…

Just wanted to add a huge thanks to Keith for running his course, the no nonsense approach was invaluable to me!
Just returned from Vietnam, long flight, stopover and internal flights, was nervous at Gatwick but not as bad as before, listened to the CDs on my iPod, followed take off relaxation techniques and kept repeating 'turbulence is not dangerous' in my head
Actually managed to sleep on the plane and eat the meals, jet lag and stress hugely reduced, didn't think about…

Hi Everyone!
I'm flying to London from Singapore at the end of June and am wondering if I should fly direct or transit in the middle. If I fly direct, it's about 13.5 hours and to transit in middle is about 7 hours each way.
The thought of getting onto a plane for 14 hours is daunting and taking 2 7-hour flights, at least in my mind, is more manageable. The last flight I took was in December and it was about 5.5 hours. So I feel I can do this.
Please let me know what…

Hi to everyone and thank you for exiting cause your help its important to me.
I am 27, i leave in Thessaloniki, Greece. I have traveled a lot in my life. (Europe, Dubai, Morocco, New York, Miami). I wasn't fear or i have to say that i was very comfortable in a plane. It all started when the flight 522 of Helios airlines have crashed here in Greece. In that flight were a couple that my father knew. They left 2 kids behind them. After that i start thinking that maybe its not…

First flight in 4 years on Tues morning to Vietnam, following doing the course with Keith... I'm feeling OK at the moment, much more positive than my last flight, when something negative pops into my head trying v hard to ignore those thoughts, I've found some hypnotherapy sessions use full and reading the books or listening to the fof c.d's -my nerves are centering around that its long haul with a stopover in Frankfurt then a short connection from Danang so 3 flights in a day or so...a lot…

Hello all,
Finally I got new job of my dreams. Everything should be ok, but now I'll need to fly very very frequently. Now I don't feel so positive about it :( It might be that frequent flying will cure this fear once and for all or it might be that I will never fly again. I'm afraid that I will face some of the rare occasions like heavy turbulence and so on.... Let's see how it will happen, but I feel very insecure now :(

Finally had chance to put into practice what I learnt on the course way back in January. Funny feeling really, wanted and expected to feel nervous but was actually more curious about what was going on. It was a challenge I would previously have been really concerned about as I was travelling to Ireland and knew the airport had been closed the previous day due to snow (thought about your list of question I was challenged with in the course!)
Flew Heathrow to Belfast on an…
ContinueSo, my latest flight was from VNO to CPH and back with CRJ-900. Well, just before flight I was super positive, no bad thoughts and so on and I thought that I'll join 'successful flyers group' on return, but it was too early. I was quite stressed without any reason during flight. Well, ok, during take-off. I just can't stand take-off and that bad bad feeling when you fell falling, turning and so on. So it's too early to join successful flyers. Unfortunately. Still, I don't give up.

Another successful flight back forward to Leeds last week, the flight over was magical glorius day and the view out was so clear all the way. what a feeling to be able to llok out and start recognising familiar places.
Have had to cancel my trip to Iceland in April which is disappointing but what a joy to be able to report it is not due to a fear of flying. I may have surgical procedures coming up so can't take the risk of having to cancel and lose my money. However I may be able to…

Hello all,
I wasn't here for a while. I was super busy. Now I come to say thanks to all of you and especially captain Keith. I didn't overcome my fears yet, but I feel so confident that I chose to fly for a job interview to a foreign country and if I'll take that new job then flying will be much more frequent for me. You know what ? I'm not afraid ! I'm happy to be able to take that opportunity and do not refuse my career because of fear of the flying !
You did a very…

After having the best week of my life on a school trip to California, the day came for me to return home on the 10 hour flight from Los Angeles to London. In the morning of the journey day I was pretty calm. We packed up and went out for the day, going to Farmers Market mall place and then Venice Beach. All this distracted me from the pending flight, until it got to 5pm. I got on the coach and immediately tensed up knowing our next destination was LAX airport. Once arriving at the airport I…

I'm 17 years old and had my first ever flight on the 8th february. It was an 11 and a half hour flight to San Francisco for a school trip. As soon as I got on the coach to the airport I cried for the first 30minutes of the 2hour drive. I calmed down when at the airport and during check in. Going through security I began to tense up and when we got to Duty free everyone got split up. There was 47 of us, 5 of them teachers. I was with five of my friends. We began to walk to our gate in…
