I'm 18 years old and I've never been abroad before. I was just chosen to represent my country in a youth exchange this coming August and as a group, we're going to Cyprus. Everyone tells me that it's scarier flying over water. And honestly, I feel like I'm just gonna choke on the plane. I don't know what scares me the most about this flying thing, but I'm terrified of heights and of the fact that I wouldn't have solid ground beneath my feet. Is there any way I'll be able to go to Cyprus and not run away from the airport at the last second? Thanks

Joining this site is a really good start! Well done too for an amazing achievement. There are all kinds of things that can make you feel anxious, but you CAN overcome it. Educate yourself, find out what it will involve and keep logging on to this site! The thing that helped me was to find out all I could and I really think I'm overcoming it now. There are lots of really good resources on the site, so have a look.

Good luck - you WILL be fine!
