Hi Tony 

Keep yourself distracted with activities like crossword puzzles or trivia games in the days leading up to your flight. This helps me with moderating my anxieties so it doesn't keep building up. Also, bring stuff onto the plane that you like to do, magazines, music, etc. I usually bring ginger teabags and ask for hot water during the flight. It helps me settle my stomach and my nerves. If you do suffer from motion sickness, do get medication that helps. If the flight is short, try having a light meal before that or try alternatives, like the sea band. 

I know how you feel, I have an 8-hour flight one week after you. You can do this! :)

Without wishing to use a cliche - how are you feeling? I'm sure there's someone on here who can empathise!
