Preparing for my flight - any tips would be great!

So next week is the big family holiday that we have all been looking forward to for months. I'm being conscious this time to address my fear and plan for the flight before I get there to help alleviate the symptoms and ultimately get on the flight. It still feels like very early days to me....

  I would really appreciate any tips, ideas or thoughts on how to get through the first part of the flight, including anything people do to help them before they board the plane and during take off. I am using the CDs, books and audio to help me and practising the breathing techniques but last time I was so anxious I lost the concentration to do them. Anything that can help me not reach that level of anxiety would really help! I'm flying this time with my two children, and really don't want them to see me upset as it effects them and the last thing I want is to pass my fear on too much!


Please help!

So all checked in at the airport! Feeling ok, I can do this!
She's away and westward bound, far above the clouds she'll fly,
Where the morning rain don't fall and the sun always shines,
She'll be flying over my home in about three hours time.

Its possible to do that! I did it, so you can fly too.

I flew 16 times only this year, with some fear. Few years ago I wouldnt believe in it.

Just do that, thinking during the fligt: if I still can listen to the music (CD), reading a newspaper - everything is alright!
